Dear colleagues, partners, and employees,
Over the past weeks, Nepal has experienced periods of social instability. First and foremost, we extend our sincere appreciation to every teammate who stayed the course and looked out for one another. SMC remains firmly committed to safety and compliance, and to a neutral stance that respects local regulations and social order. On this basis, Headquarters has maintained daily coordination with partners, banks, and technology vendors, continuously assessing key indicators—public safety, communications and power, financial clearing, and data transmission—to prepare for a safe restart of operations.
Allow me to address the two issues everyone cares about most.
First, tasks in the Nepal market will fully resume on September 14, 2025. We will proceed only when safety, network stability, and fulfillment thresholds are met, and we will advance in phases—catch-up first, stabilize second, then scale—ensuring every step is prudent, verifiable, traceable, and reversible.
Second, given extraordinary conditions, withdrawal (payout) timing may experience temporary delays due to damaged bank branches, payment system rate-limits, and intermittent network or power disruptions. Please be assured that all compliant withdrawals will be processed in sequence and short-term delays will not result in any loss of funds. Headquarters has activated contingency measures—including staggered reviews, cross-region clearing, and automated technical retries—to return processing to normal as quickly as possible.
On behalf of SMC, I would also like to apologize to our long-standing film advertising partners. Adjustments necessitated by external conditions have affected some of your schedules and deliveries. We regret the inconvenience. We have implemented a dedicated make-good plan and a quality re-validation program to complete agreed-upon impression and conversion targets—safely and compliantly—so that stable, auditable data restores and strengthens your confidence. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and professional collaboration; we will honor your trust with even higher delivery standards.
This moment calls for unity. Team leads must set the tone, steady team cadence, communicate official guidance, and continue core work in recruiting, training, coordination, and retention so that, once tasks resume, teams can engage immediately, execute steadily, and hit targets. All members should rely solely on in-app notices and official groups, complete group enrollment and identity verification, avoid any unauthorized in-person gatherings, keep safety as the baseline, professionalism as the habit, and the team as family. During the restart and scaling phase, we ask our colleagues in Nepal to mobilize and mentor more high-quality, sustainable new hires, building real talent depth and stable output that support SMC’s long-term growth, serve our “lifeblood” advertising clients, and lay a solid foundation for our listing plan and global expansion.
We make three clear commitments: safety & compliance are non-negotiable; fulfillment & reputation will not waver; information & progress will remain transparent. Effective today, Headquarters will provide ongoing updates on the restart cadence, payout processing, and key metrics via our website and in-app announcements until operations fully return to steady state. Thank you for your understanding, resolve, and discipline during this extraordinary period. Together—with steady steps, professional actions, and mutual trust—we will usher in a fully stabilized Nepal market.
